Information for families

We are here to listen to your concerns about your child and your goals for their future.

Perhaps your child needs support with learning difficulties or challenging behaviours. Perhaps you have concerns about their development and growth. Perhaps you need support to overcome the challenges of family life. Or perhaps another health professional has recommended us to you.

Referrals are currently being accepted via The Orange Door, Maternal and Child Health Services and other targeted referral points across the region. The service is working directly with limited local referrers to ensure that our services are reaching the children and families with the highest need in our communities.

When you make an appointment with the Loddon Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local, you will begin by meeting someone from our friendly and caring intake team.

We will start by listening to you and learning about your concerns. We will work with you to understand and determine your needs.

Once we’ve met with you, we will then recommend specific services to help meet the needs and achieve the goals of your child.

The services we recommend could address:

  • Allied health needs
  • Medical needs
  • Mental health needs
  • Emotional needs
  • Learning and school concerns

We can also help to:

  • Navigate the healthcare system to get the best outcomes and care options for your child.
  • Coordinate your family’s care.

We may also invite you take part in one of our Parent information sessions or a School Holiday Parent and Child session.
